Hosaf International Limited, a sister concern of Hosaf Group of Companies, was incorporated on 12th March 1994 as a Private Limited Company. The company's notable venture, the Khalashpir Coal Mine Project, is located in the Pirganj Upazila under Rangpur district, Bangladesh. In October 2003, Hosaf International Limited obtained an exploration license from the government of Bangladesh to undertake coal exploration in Khalashpir, encompassing an area of 25.00 sq.km.
Collaborating with the Hosaf-Chinese Consortium, the company conducted a Techno-Economic Feasibility Study of the Khalashpir Coal Deposit under an Exploration License Contract with the Bureau of Mineral Development (BMD). The development of the Khalashpir Coal Mine is projected to span four years, with initial coal production of 1.00 million tons starting from the 5th year and further increasing to 2.00 million tons by the 7th year, coinciding with the generation of 500 MW of electricity.
